Emily Gray, Co-Artistic Director

Emily Gray started taking an interest in theatre at a very young age. She participated in school productions of Taming of the Shrew and Othello and she was hooked. In her native England, after graduating from Denstone College she then attended Warwick University where she served as President of WUDS (the Warwick University Drama Society). As President she was responsible for producing ten shows a season at the Warwick Arts Centre (the second largest arts centre in the country), and various other shows at other venues. After receiving her B.A. with honors in Drama, she took a year off and taught drama at Queen Margaret’s School. She then attended Drama Studio London where she met her husband Matthew. After Drama school, she spent a year in London doing various jobs including Twelfth Night at The Battersea Arts Centre and dramatizing scenes for a documentary about King Lear for the BBC. She then married Matthew and moved to New York. In New York she worked steadily for three years. She worked mostly for the Off-Broadway Pearl Theatre Company, where she enjoyed several roles including Millimant in The Way of the World. Her other work included: Yes Is For A Very Young Man, The Duchess of Malfi, Queen Margaret and Too Rustic! Emily also narrates audio books for Recorded Books. She recently recieved a rave review and a Golden Earphone award for her narration of the children's book Rowan Hood and has been nominated for this years' illustrious 'Audie' award for best comedic performance of a recorded book (Shopaholic Takes Manhattan) along side such nominees as Steve Martin and Ellen Degeneres. She is excited to bring her experience and perspective to the Dallas area Theatre scene.

Emily has played Beatrice in C.A.C.'s production of Much Ado About Nothing and Maria in A Flea in Her Ear.
